Angel Stadium

Angel Stadium is home to the Los Angeles Angels, an MLB team based in Anaheim. The stadium can fit over 45,000 people!

I am typically an EVS and hard cam operator. I would usually be responsible for showing instant replays, creating clips, or labeling metadata as IP director. Most of camera operating at Angel Stadium is crowd work, but occasionally we grab in game action.

IP Director is a position based in the EVS product line and allows direct control over an EVS server without utilizing an operator’s machine. The position is responsible for changing metadata on each of the clips. Typically, the titles would include the players last name, the play, and the camera name for the editors to utilize.  At Angels and most MLB venues, replays are done through truck cameras. We typically digest around 16 different cameras at once.

Here’s a time I used an Ikegami camera for our Long Beach State Graduations. I used this as an RF camera and occasionally mounted on a tripod for steady shots. Over the period of 3 days, I was grabbing the walkouts, crowd reactions, graduate reactions, and the cap toss. Each day had 2-3 graduations.
