Ludwig's Streamer Games

Ludwig’s Streamer Games features 40 content creators in an Olympic-style competition. The event featured games such as the 100-meter dash, a 1.9-meter dash, a relay race with a chicken, a tablecloth pull, and a tungsten cube toss.

My job at this event was straightforward: set up and operate 3 PTZs facing the casters. I ran 3 RJ45 cables to our PoE injector, and set up tripods facing the casters. With my PTZs, one is intended as a wide angle while the other two cross shoot for an ISO.

Between the casters, different players were swapped in, or made a quick guest appearance and provided commentary.

In this example, I wanted to make the shot feel a bit more intimate while seeing all of the context, so I zoomed in the wide to remove all of the extra space. The PTZ on the left still provided a tighter ISO of the players that was used when needed.

Occasionally, I was able to provide some establishing shots with the PTZs by zooming over 30x! The model I was working with in particular can shoot 20x through an optical zoom, followed by an additional 10x with a digital zoom. This one was during the dunking challenge, where contestants must throw a ball at a target to knock a creator into water.

Another tricky shot involved some crowd work with the PTZs. For the image on the right, I zoomed just over the caster’s heads to obtain a pretty clean crowd shot.

Here’s another fun crowd shot, utilizing the left PTZ and showing off a few signs.
